Advanced Training

Want to go deeper?

No matter how long you’ve been training in the martial arts, there is always more to learn.  No matter how many times you’ve practiced a technique, there is always opportunity for improvement.  In addition to working towards advanced levels of black belt (2nd degree, 3rd degree, etc), we offer many avenues for further development as a martial artist.

Brown and black belts are encouraged to learn through teaching and, in so doing, take part in the tradition of passing down knowledge and experience.

In addition to our regular classes, we offer an open workout on Friday nights where brown and black belts can meet up and train together in a less structured environment.

We often host seminars taught by our own instructors as well as those from other styles and schools in which students can participate and learn new or advanced concepts and techniques.

If competition is your thing, we run three tournaments each year in which students push themselves to compete at the highest levels.

Finally, we have our annual camp where we spend a week in the Blue Ridge mountains training and growing together without the distractions of daily life.
